Nuvance–Northwell Health | Fairfield County (60 miles from New York City)
Nuvance–Northwell Health, the Northern Region of Northwell Health spanning Connecticut and New York, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon to join our established and growing vascular surgery program based in Danbury, Connecticut.
This position is primarily based at Danbury Hospital, with participation in vascular care delivery across other hospitals within the system as part of a coordinated regional model. Coverage is structured and collaborative, allowing surgeons to build a strong practice while supporting system-wide growth without excessive commuting.

- The only IAC-accredited vein center in Connecticut

Academic & Teaching Opportunities
Danbury Hospital also hosts a freestanding 6-year general surgery residency, including a dedicated research year. Teaching medical students and residents is an integral part of the program, with academic affiliations that include:
- Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
- Yale School of Medicine
- University of Vermont College of Medicine

- Board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary with productivity incentives

- Compensation range: $450,000–$650,000, commensurate with experience

Founded in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a 371-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits annually. It provides comprehensive care to the Greater Danbury region while maintaining a strong academic mission.
